Feeling a wee bit lonely

and a wee bit frustrated.

However, I can't talk about 'things' (head games) here as I don't know who all reads this.  (sigh)

So, what can I talk about?!?  Well, my oldest son will be here in about a month.  Not ready.  Will the house EVER be "ready" - probably not!  There is always something to do to our home. =)

I would like to see the downstairs room completed, it's such a mess.  UGH.  It's the room that had the water pipe bust during the sell.  The owners did a half a$$ repair job on it.  We had to tear the ceiling off and redo it correctly.  Then Sonny got the ceiling back up and another pipe went bad!  So, it's all down again and he's redoing ALL the plumbing.

On the good side of things - the outside sewer pipes are all NEW.  We should be set for years with those. =)

Neighbor on the other hand had problems.  Seems the man who lived here in this house cut off the neighbors pipes and left them to drain into the ground and back up.   This happened just before we bought the house. (whew).

From what I understand the owner in our home didn't like him because of his skin color.  It's not an issue for us, we like him! He's a good guy and watches out for all the neighbors. =)  I feel safer knowing he doesn't let things slide by around the neighborhood.

Of course yesterday we had some action around here and our neighbor wasn't even home!  His dog kept barking - you know that "come a step closer and I'll tear your head off" bark.  I kept looking out the window and really couldn't see anything.  Then I saw a guy walking around the alley.

Mmmmm, suspicious.  I suppose I should've called the police at that point.  However, all I was thinking was "How do I tell the police I need them to check out the alley cuz our neighbor's dog is barking his mean bark?"

My cop son told me I should've just told them there was suspicious activity in the alley.  Oh DUH!?!?!?  Why didn't I think of that?!?!  Next time I will know.

Later that night, around 1 am the police and paramedics were back.  A police officer got into the ambulance with the patient the other cop drove behind the ambulance when they left.  Very interesting.  All this in the same area of the police activity earlier in the day.

Yes, I have a nose problem.  Wanna make something of that?!?! =)

So, what's happening in your neighborhood?  I know, I should just come visit you and find out! =)  Watch out, I might come knocking on your (blog) door soon.

BTW, only lonely because my husband is at work and I really  want to be with him right now.  Frustrated with so called "professionals" in the wedding industry.  I'll leave it at that!  Night all!

**** BTW, I feel better after writing even if I didn't discuss the frustrations.  Sometimes just changing your thoughts can help a great deal.  So for that, thank you for 'listening'! =)

  3. I you hear a neighbor's dog's mean bark, it's not nosy....it's cautious. That would have me a bit unsettled.

  7. Knowing what's going on in your neighborhood isn't nosy at all. Keep doing what you're doing. It might be IMPORTANT later. Meanwhile, counting down to your son's visit must have you walking on air.

  8. It's always scary when you're in a new neighborhood and you're not sure if that person creeping around should or should not be there. Could be just someone taking out the trash. I've lived here 8½ years & sometimes I'm still not sure about some people I see out there. Linda

  10. Must be interesting to watch all the events of the neighborhood. My neighbors are just animals...really, they ARE animals. LOL. I see no humans for days on end except the occasional car that passes. I just watch the buffalo mosey around & eat. Woohoo!
